Sally Egbert is a contemporary painter who
creates unique oil paintings and works on paper in an Abstract Expressionist manner. Egbert's work has been described as "full of floating forms danc[ing] free of any fixed boundary [which...] operate between abstract gesture and loose representation of visual observation"(Halsey Mckay Gallery 2012). Egbert studied
at State University of New York and lives and works in East Hampton, New York. Egbert has been awarded a variety of
considerable awards including Pollock-Krasner Grants and has participated in numerous exhibitions within New York, Los Angeles, Maryland and Arizona, as well as in Soncino, Italy.
